Tel Aviv's Marina partners with Zalul Environmental Association and the Blue Watch for the environment

Recently the Tel Aviv Marina has made some visual and sanitation upgrades and continues to fulfill all the requirements during 2008 in order to receive the "Blue Flag" label and to become a green Marina.

As part of the process, the Tel Aviv Marina in partnership with Zalul, is helping to recruit Yachters to take part in the Blue Watch, to assist Zalul in the struggle for a clean and clear sea.

The Blue Watch is an initiative of Zalul Environmental Association in partnership with yacht, ship and sailboat owners with the goal of protecting the sea environment of Israel. The volunteers survey the shoreline for potential sea pollution sources and report it to Zalul and the state authorities. The Blue Watch assembles volunteer watercraft owners interested in influencing their quality of life and acting against polluters who damage the sea and beaches of the State of Israel.

Zalul is very excited about the partnership with the Tel Aviv Marina as it provides another important link in the battle for raising awareness about sea pollution. Zalul hopes that the partnership will strengthen the Blue Watch to be a powerful influence on the defense of the sea and beaches of Israel.
